Arsenal host Liverpool tonight (7.45pm) at the Emirates and need a win to climb back into the top four.
Arsene Wenger has regularly come under fierce criticism from the fans, while Klopp has managed to get the Reds back on track after facing serious questions over the state of his side’s defence.
Wenger’s side are out of the title race and while they have reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, they are competing in the Europa League
But Klopp is a bit baffled as to why Wenger doesn’t get more credit for the job he has done with the Gunners.
“I think Arsene gets a lot of criticism,” Klopp said.
“I’ve seen it since I’ve been in England, I’m aware of it and for sure it’s not right. It’s like ‘thank you for everything, but please make space now…’
“But he’s still there and he’s doing a brilliant job again.
“He’s still top five, six, fighting for fourth and being involved in different cup competitions and things like that.
“He’s obviously still very ambitious and as long as you feel that, and you feel the club gets the benefit of this, you can stay.
“If you are the only part who likes it, that’s wrong.
“It needs to be a perfect fit. We feel that here at this moment and I’m sure for the next few years it can be that, but you cannot force anything to happen.
“It needs to feel right for everybody.”
