Real Madrid are said to be speaking to Neymar’s father through a representative, agent Wagner Ribeiro.
The secret discussions surround a possible transfer to the Bernabeu in the summer.
Neymar only joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona back in August.
But the £200million record signing may soon be off.
The Brazilian joined PSG in part to escape Lionel Messi’s shadow and go for individual awards such as the Ballon d’Or, which Ronaldo won for a fifth time last night.
And Perez thinks Real are his best avenue to securing the title of the world’s best player.
“Being in Madrid would make it easier to win the Ballon d’Or,” admitted Perez.
“Real Madrid is a club which gives all you need as a big player.
“Everyone knows that I already wanted to sign him at one point.”
Were Neymar to join Real he would be in the same situation with Ronaldo as he was with Messi, effectively being the understudy to the main star.
And that could mean Real would look to edge Ronaldo out of the side.
Ronaldo threatened to quit Real Madrid last summer when he felt the club failed to support him in a tax case brought against him by the Spanish authorities.
The issue was eventually resolved but that threat still lingers over the player’s future.
Manchester United were linked with a bid for their ex-player in the summer, although no offer came through.
One solution Perez may hope is viable is to ditch either Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema, with Neymar coming is as a replacement.
However, that would not solve the likely conflict between Neymar and Ronaldo for top dog status in Madrid.
