Man Utd vs Man City: BBC Sport pundits Jermaine Jenas and Rickie Lambert make predictions | Football | Sport

And Jermaine Jenas and Rickie Lambert have predicted how the game will pan out while appearing on BBC Radio 5 Live.

United sit second in the table having collected 35 points from their opening 15 Premier League fixtures.

They’re already a distant eight points adrift of City though and Pep Guardiola’s men can all but end their title hopes this weekend.

Jenas and Lambert have now offered their verdicts on what they expect the scoreline to be come the full-time whistle at Old Trafford.

“I’m gonna go City to win, 3-1,” Jenas said on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Lambert disagreed with the former Tottenham and England midfielder though, suggesting Jose Mourinho’s side will cancel City out.

“No, Mourinho always does it,” Lambert replied.

“He’ll frustrate them, 1-1.”

However, Jenas and Lambert did agree on how Sunday’s Merseyside derby will go down when asked by presenter Darren Fletcher.

“I do not think Everton can stop them,” said Lambert.

“I’m gonna go 2-1 Liverpool.”

“3-0 Liverpool,” Jenas responded.
