There are new ways to get ready for the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 release time today and tomorrow.
Fans can head down to their local GAME store in the UK and grab a copy between 6-9pm, something that was announced earlier this week.
But it isn’t the only deal that’s currently available to fans who want to have everything installed in time for the release of Black Ops 4.
It’s been announced that Uber Eats are also doing a deal including Call of Duty Black Ops 4.
According to Eurogamer, Harry Ramsden’s fish and chips chain have a promotion that includes a free copy of COD.
This deal will only run while stocks last and is available from its three more prominent stores this weekend, found in Manchester, Birmingham and London Victoria.
Paying £7.99 for your cod and chips on October 12 through Uber Eats will reportedly earn you a copy of Black Ops 4.
It should be noted that this is a digital copy of the game, meaning you won’t have quite as large a download as those buying a physical copy.
Away from downloading the game, Activision has also made it possible for fans to hunt for Easter eggs together.
It’s a big part of the COD Zombies experience and something that won’t be going live until everyone has access to the game.
Treyarch revealed as much earlier this month, confirming that new surprises will be going live on October 12.
“With the release of Black Ops 4 marking ten years of Treyarch Zombies, we know how important this moment is to our Zombies community,” a message from Treyarch reads.
“That’s why, in addition to launching with more Zombies experiences on Day One than any previous game in our history, the team is dedicated to releasing a steady stream of post-launch Zombies content via new features, special events, regular game updates, and more.
“We also know how important it is for fans to discover the secrets hidden within each launch day experience together as a community. Therefore, in the spirit of doing everything we can to create a spoiler-free, 100% level playing field for Easter Egg hunters around the world, we’re trying something new for the first time: Black Ops 4 Zombies Easter Eggs will be enabled worldwide in Voyage of Despair, IX, Blood of the Dead, and Classified at 10AM Pacific Time on Friday, October 12.”
“We’ll be watching to see what you find on Friday. Oh, and we’re cooking up something extra special for you.”
BLACK OPS 4 EARLY RELEASE
Fans who have pre-ordered the game digitally can preload it on PS4 and Xbox One.
This is essential if you want to be ready for release day, as Black Ops 4 is going to be a big download.
And not only is is a big download but it will also come with a massive day one patch.
Disc installation will require over 60GB of space, followed by a day one update on top of that, according to the Black Ops website.
Fans are being told that COD Black Ops 4 could stack up to around 112GB when everything has been installed fully onto consoles.
However, the digital version will weigh in at around 55GB when all is said and done.
“Before playing for the first time, players will need to download and install a day one update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4,” Activision confirms.
“This update must be installed completely in order to access Multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters. Blackout is fully playable once installation is about 30% complete (approximately 16-20 GB).
“Players must be connected to the internet when inserting the disc for the first time in order to initiate the update installation process. The final installation footprint will be approximately 55 GB.
“The day one update package is roughly 50 GB. Download speeds may vary based on region, platform, connection type, and the speed of your internet connection.”
